Finito!

It's FINISHED!!!  I'm wearing it to work today- in case you can't tell from the candid bathroom shot!  I'm so proud of myself for conquering my commitment-phobia and completing another wearable garment.

I cast on for Anney last night with the Berroco Comfort DK I picked up at Windsor Button, but still can't get into the swing of it.  Meaning I frogged the whole thing twice in a furious rage.  James picked the color out- Lovage- which is a nice, bright, lime-y green without being too 1980s neon.  I was told, by both him and Rafael, that I should venture out of my usual orange and pink go-to knitting colors and try something different.  I've never made anything green before (that I can recall), so this color fits the bill perfectly!

Hopefully I'll be able to wrap my head around the pattern (note to self: don't wait and try and figure this out after 11pm!) and find my rhythm.  I refuse to cast on for this again.  Seriously.

In other news, the Etsy Craft Party was a lot of fun!  Diesel Cafe is a really cool spot (and their Raspberry Lime Rickey was yum delish!), and the vibe was really inspiring!  It was wonderful to see so many like-minded, crafty people in one place.  I even got to make a tomato pin cushion- which is a perfect project for a complete sewing newbie like myself- and I even learned that "basting" is NOT, contrary to popular belief, what the kids are calling it these days!
My Tomato!  It's an artistic interpretation, in case you couldn't tell!

Diesel Cafe (I HAVE to remember to hit up the photo booth next time!)
Creepy guy who kind of weirded me out with his dancing/spasms/odd facial hair.

All in all, a terrific event with some really awesome people!  Say CHEESE!!!
There's Rafael, Michele and Lucie.  Sorry for the craptastic photos, all I had was my iPhone...  I should know better by now!  But if you look really closely you can see the goody bags we got!  Total score!!!  I'll save that for another post.

I thought it was something you do to turkeys on Thanksgiving. Don't mock me!
